Sarojini Balanandan expelled from CPM state committee

 Friday, 10 February 2012: CPM senior leader Sarojini Balanandan was expelled from the CPM state committee. Sarojini is the wife of former Polit bureau member E Balanandan.
The CPM will now have an expanded state committee with 85 members. The central leadership of the party had earlier expressed their willingness to expand the committee if requested by the state leadership.
