Mammootty is back as a petty thief for the new movie ‘Thaappana’, after his few outings as a thief in films like ‘Kanalkattu’ and ‘Kalikkalam’ that came out more than a decade ago.This new flick with Johny Antony will be a light hearted entertainer with the star as a character named Samson, who is just out of jail. He finds to his surprise, another lady named Mallika, who is also just out of jail and travelling on the same route. Together they make the rest the movie a pleasant journey in the scripts of M Sindhuraj.
Featuring the music by Vidhayasagar and shots by Rajaratnam, the shoot for the second schedule of the movie is currently on at Kuttikanam in Idukky district. ‘Thaappana’ produced by Milan Jaleel in the banner of Galaxy films, will arrive in theatres of Kerala by the month of July.
