Identification parade of accused in T.P murder tomorrow

Sunday, June 10, 2012: The identification parade of T.K Rajeesh, the key accused in the brutal murder of RMP leader TP Chandrasekharan on May 4 near Onchiyam, will be held tomorrow.
The identification parade will be conducted in the presence of Kozhikode first class magistrate at the Kozhikode district prison, where Rajeesh is serving his remand period.
Rajeesh is the master brain who plotted and coordinated the attack on the RMP leader. On interrogation Rajeesh told police that he just obeyed the instructions of some leaders to kill Chandrasekharan.
He said to the special investigating team that they had planned to kill TP Chandrasekhran six months before. Sources said Rajeesh has also been allegedly involved in plotting many political killings, including K T Jayakrishnan master and the double murder at New Mahe.

Police said he was picked up from a hideout in a village along the Maharashtra-Goa border. Rajeesh was on the run ever since the police spotted his hideout. Finally, he fell in the net at a house owned by his friend from Panur at a village in Maharashtra.
Chandrasekharan, 51, was killed in Onchiyam near here Friday night while returning home on a two-wheeler. Chandrasekharan, once a prominent CPI(M) leader in the party stronghold Onjiyam in Kozhikode district, was expelled a few years ago after he fell out with the leadership.
He later joined the RMP floated by CPI(M) rebels and wrested control of Onjiyam village panchayat, ending decades-old rule of the CPI(M).
