Kerala Assembly adjourned amid LDF protest
Wednesday, June 13, 2012: The CPI(M)-led LDF opposition disrupted proceedings in the Kerala Assembly for the second day demanding arrest of P K Basheer, MLA, who has been booked as accused in the Malappuram double murder case.
The opposition refused to ask questions when the speaker directed them to do so and instead trooped into the well of the house and shouted slogans.
In the midst of the chaos, ministers began to give replies to the questions posed to them. With this, the opposition leaders sat in the well of the House and continued with slogan shouting.
Even after the end of the question hour, the opposition continued their protest and in between the speaker announced that the assembly has been adjourned.
