Gateman knocked down

KOCHI: A railway employee on duty was crushed to death when a speedy train knocked him down at a level crossing between Tripunithura and Ernakulam junction Thursday. According to railway sources, the dead was identified as K P Ramesan (42), native of Mulanthuruthy in the district, was on duty when the tragedy occurred. The mishap occurred when the gateman, was moving back to his cabin after closing the gate, the Hyderabad bound express knocked down him, killing him on the spot, the sources added.
