THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan said the decision to replace Rajpal Meena, chief of state anti-piracy cell, has been cancelled. The decision to shift him to Poojappura vigilance cell was taken yesterday.
Meena, who took charge as the superintendent of the anti-piracy cell formed eight months before, had led several successful operations, putting an end to a major share of piracy activities in the state. His team was also instrumental in curbing the piracy of Malayalam movies directly from theatres. Within a short span, the team had seized almost 2 lakh fake CDs.
