TP Murder: Police records arrest of Karayi Rajan

KOZHIKODE: The police on Monday officially recorded the arrest of CPI (M) Kannur district secretariat member, Karayi Rajan, in connection with the murder of T.P. Chandrasekharan.


Karayi Rajan’s arrest was officially recorded by DySP Josi Cheriyan at the Kakkanad jail, where Rajan is kept in judicial custody in Fazal Murder Case.


Rajan has been accused of helping Sijith, a member of killer gang involved in TP murder, to get medical treatment from hospital. This is the first time a district leader of CPI (M) from Kannur is arrested.


Member of CPI (M) Kozhikode District Secretariat, P. Mohanan, was arrested earlier.
