Clamour in Cong for Mani’s resignation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Congress leaders have come forward seriously demanding Finance Minister Mani’s resignation in the wake of Kerala high court criticising the minister in harsh terms. KPCC vice-president V D Satheeshan said, “Mani should resign and if he doesn’t, I shall interfere to correct the leadership”.  

T N Prathapan MLA and KPCC general secretary K P Anil Kumar demanded Mani’s resignation. Prathapan said it was not right to ‘bear’ Mani any more, while KPCC president V M Sudheeren said he would discuss the issue in the party.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said Mani issue was serious and the UDF would  take a decision on it.
