Congress double-crossed us in civic polls: RSP

KOLLAM: In the local body election, RSP leader Kovoor Kunjumon MLA and youth organisation RYF have come out to criticise the Congress. Kunjumon, who slammed UDF on Thursday, however said his party didn’t have inimical attitude towards the LDF.

RSP alleged that the Congress had unilaterally elected Devaswom board members and the former was totally kept out of the loop. An immediate secretariat meeting would be held to discuss the matter.

The party said there should be an immediate decision on Deputy Speaker’s post. In between, RYF Kollam district secretary Biju Lekshmikanthan alleged that in places where RSP contested, the Congress had cross-voted.

Kunjumon said there was no point in continuing in a corrupt Front. The demand to leave the UDF had been raised before the party leadership.

Meanwhile, it is reported that there are two opinions in the RSP regarding its approach towards the UDF.
