ALAPPUZHA: The election stage to be attended by congress working committee member A K Antony collapsed on Sunday. One person sustained injuries. The election venue at Pulinkunnu in the district collapsed due to heavy rains and winds. Congress mandalam president Joseph Chekkodan sustained injuries in the attack.
Alappuzha DCC vice president M N Chandraprakash was delivering a speech at the time of the incident. Almost ten leaders including KPCC general secretary Mannar Abdul Latheef and former MLA Dr K C Joseph were on the dais.
