Two students killed as bike hits electric post
KANNUR: Two students were killed, when the bike on which they were travelling, dashed against an electric post at Poozhithala near Mahe early Sunday morning.
According to Mahe police, the dead were identified as Ashiq (19), a polytechnic college student, in Puducherry and son of Rajeesh, a resident of Kariyad, and Vishnudas (19), BSC Computer Science student of Mahathma Gandhi Government Arts College at Chalakkara near Mahe, son of Sivadas of Pallur.
The accident occurred at about 0130 hrs when they were proceeding to Mahe.The two died on the spot. The bodies were shifted to Mahe government hospital for post-mortem, police said.
