Saturday, December 17, 2011: In the wake of the rising number of farmer suicides in Wayanad in a short span of few weeks, another debt-ridden farmer from Kannur has committed suicide yesterday night.The dead has been identified as Kunjiraman (75) hailing from Cherupuzha, police told. According to sources he had borrowed huge sums of money from banks, cooperatives and micro finance establishments for agriculture.
But the price crash and crop failure shattered his dreams which made him to take this drastic decision.
