Probe ordered into anomalies in Kalady Sanskrit varsity


Friday, December 23, 2011: The state government has today ordered a vigilance probe into the alleged widespread irregularities in appointments in the Kalady Sanskrit University during the tenure of former registrar K Ramachandran.
The probe has been ordered by Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan based on a complaint lodged by a University staff Prasanth Kumar. It is alleged that the irregularities worth Rs 8 crore has been reported in the developmental operations. The illegal appointments of five lecturers have also sparked controversy.
The appointments in May last year were made without conducting any interviews or issuing any notifications.
