June 10, 2011: The Kerala High Court today clarified that the CPM leader MV Jayarajan’s remarks against the judiciary was a clear case of contempt of Court. A Division Bench, consisting of Justice A K Basheer and Justice P Q Barkat Ali handed over the chargesheet to Jayarajan.
The trail proceedings on the contempt case will begin on June 20th. Jayarajan, at a public meeting, made unparliamentary remarks against the judges after a High court ruling banned roadside meetings by political parties.
