HC upholds Govt decision to take over 50% medical PG seats

Wednesday, February 15, 2012: The Kerala High Court on Wednesday upheld the State government’s decision to take over 50 percent PG seats of self-financing medical colleges.
The Court order came after rejecting managements’ plea questioning government’s action of cancelling admissions to the seats of government quota in self-financing colleges. Rejecting the plea, the court pointed out that all self-financing managements should abide the conditions of the medical council of India.
The Government had earlier annulled the admissions conducted by the managements to these seats.
