Swamy Thanmaya stabbed

KOCHI: Swamy Thanmaya, successor of Guru Nithyachaithanyayathi and the head of Narayana Gurukulam in Ootty, was stabbed by some miscreants who barged into the ashram last night. He sustained stab injuries on his stomach. The seriously injured Swamy was subjected to an emergency operation at the district Govt Hospital in Ootty. Doctors attending on him said his condition is stable and is out of danger.


Meanwhile, hospital authorities said he is not fully conscious. Land mafia is suspected to be behind the attack. The Ootty police have started investigation after registering case. A mentally unstable person is suspected to have stabbed him.
