Court remands 14 in TP murder case

KOZHIKODE: A Magistrate Court here Friday remanded 14 accused, including a senior CPI (M) leader, arrested in connection with the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader T P Chandrasekharan in judicial custody.  Vatakara First Class Judicial Magistrate M Suhaib remanded the accused, including CPI (M) Kozhikode district secretariat member P Mohanan in judicial custody for two weeks. The Magistrate also sent Shinoj, one of the key suspects in the May 4 murder, arrested few days ago, to police custody for six days for further questioning in the case.  Eye witnesses to the crime had recognized Shinoj at an identification parade conducted recently by the Special Investigation Team probing the case.
