KOCHI: Sree Narayana Dharmavedi General Secreatry Biju Ramesh has disclosed to the Crime branch that he is suspicious about Swami Sookshamananda’s role in the death of Swami Saswathikananda. He said in his statement that Sookshamananda had past enmity towards Saswathikananda.
The Crime branch has submitted Biju’s statement to the high court in response to a petition filed, seeking CBI inquiry into the swami’s death.
“Before going to take bath, Saswathikananda was forced to take milk, which was clandestinely mixed with insulin. After drinking the milk, he went to take bath in the river where he started shivering after which he drowned. Sookshmananda had also tried to avoid Swami’s aide Sabu from lie-detector test,” Biju said in his statement.
Biju also added that SNDP yogam vice-president Thushar Vellpalay and Saswathikananda had a quarrel in a foreign country over Rs 40 crore deposited under S N Trust. At that time, Thushar even assaulted the swami in a fit of rage.
