Gangman’s body recovered

KOCHI: The police on Saturday recovered the body of a gangman who had gone missing after falling from the Aroor bridge while undertaking maintenance work here four days ago.

Shyamlal Meena, a native of Rajasthan, had been carrying out track maintenance work on the bridge in the wee hours of November 3, lost his balance while getting down from the track packing machine and fell into the river.

The body was recovered in the morning after locals noticed the body floating near the Mulavukadu police station. The body has been handed over to Panangad police as the case was registered there.
