Govt’s rule likely to be reason for failure: Sudheeran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Among the reasons for the failure of the UDF in the local body polls include the evaluation of the administration, said KPCC chief V M Sudheeran. Talking to reporters here, he said some errors occurred while choosing candidates.

The statement of K Muraleedharan MLA that lapses occurred organizationally will be discussed by the KPCC. Some issues omitted by the media will also be discussed, he said.

Soon after the poll drubbing, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had expressed his inability to reveal the reason for the poll debacle.

JD (U) leader M V Veerendra Kumar yesterday said the UDF suffered a setback in the civic polls. The UDF should examine it. The BJP’s performance was beyond expectations, he said.
