KANNUR: The BJP-SNDP alliance formed to push the CPM to the third position did not get anything they expected, said CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. ‘Amit Shah Operation’ has failed, he pointed out. Many projects of the CPM have attracted the public. The message the polls give us is that such activities and local issues should be taken over and activated, he said.
The people have accepted LDF’s stand in the bar bribery case. Those not aware of Finance Minister KM Mani accepting bribe may have supported his party in Kottayam. However, the people of the state knows everything. The CPM and the LDF jointly campaigned for the polls. Some UDF activists cooperated with the LDF. Kodiyeri asked whether RSP and Janata Dal (U) will rectify their stands after analyzing the defeat.
Party activists of the RSP voted against them. Activists of the Janata Dal are also against the stand of the leadership. A decision on whether those leaving the UDF should be accommodated in the LDF will be taken according to their stand, he said.
