Only Mani will resign

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A consensus has been taken at the Kerala Congress steering committee meet that only Finance Minister K M Mani will resign. Though Chief Whip Thomas Unniyadan expressed his desire to resign along with Mani, the steering committee meet rejected it.

Meantime, Mani sought the resignation of P J Joseph, but the latter’s supporters opposed it. So a decision was taken that only Mani need to resign.

Meanwhile, an accord has been taken that no one will replace Mani. The portfolios handled by Mani will be given either to Joseph or the chief minister can take over it.

I am not resigning on anybody’s pressure and the decision is personal, said Mani. He repeated that he has not done anything wrong.
