RSP criticises Mani

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: RSP has come out to criticise Mani in the wake of the High Court verdict not in favour of him. RSP State Secretary A A Aziz said bar bribery case had badly affected the UDF during the civic body election.

“Whatever Mani had said, there was grudge against him in people’s mind and that was reflected in the polls,” he told a private T V Channel.

He said: Mani should have taken appropriate decision as soon as the bar bribery allegation was raised. There was opportunity for him to make a decent comeback if he had not made any mistake. We have been keeping quiet to respect the Front discipline. Now on, there is no point in keeping quiet.

This is for the first time that an ally is coming out in the public with a stand against Mani. Moreover, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and KPP President V M Sudheeran have soft-pedalled Mani issue till now.
Meanwhile, Mani told media that he was ready to discuss bribery issue anywhere and there was nothing to fear about that.
