UDF’s one day ultimatum for Mani

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the wake of Kerala High court’s observation against Finance Minister K M Mani, UDF has given him a day’s time to resign own his own. In today’s UDF high power committee meeting, the Front also decided to demand Mani’s resignation tomorrow if he didn’t budge. Mani was conspicuous by his absence in the meeting.

The UDF decided to announce the ultimatum as Mani didn’t seem like willing to tender his resignation, despite the UDF leaders demanding for the same. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Minister P K Kunhalikutty were the leaders who had held parleys with Mani. But, Mani reiterated his stand that he had not committed any mistake and hence there was no need for him to resign.
