PALA: Former Kerala Finance Minister who reached Pala today after vacating his official residence in Thiruvananthapuram was given a very warm welcome by thousands of his supporters who thronged the venue of his meeting, shouting slogans in his favour.
While travelling from Pattom in the capital City to his hometown Pala, his statements had given room for expectations that he would reveal certain things he had in mind in Pala. But he didn’t disclose any thing sensational or controversial, instead he touched upon his achievements as minister and spent time appeasing his Pala voters and lampooning his opponents.
“Let VS shed tears for his son and not me. And in the case of PC Geroge the Speaker has said what need to be said about him. From morning onwards he has been abusing me. That is his job now,” he said and advised George to work with decency.
In reply to certain Congress leaders’ remark that there was a world outside Pala, Mani said “I don’t have a world bigger than Pala and I have seen the world a lot”.
Mani said he had brought 10 crore investment to Pala and Karunya was a success as it turned a big financial relief for needy patients. “Let good things happen to all…George also…” Mani concluded.
