Will welcome RSP, only if it scorns UDF: Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that if RSP takes a public stand against the UDF, it can return to the LDF.

“RSP should publically speak against the UDF and only then will its entry to LDF be possible. It is not right to take political stands for posts or recognitions,” he clarified.

According sources, there have already been differences of opinion within the RSP over continuing its relationship with the UDF. Kovoor Kunjumon MLA and youth wing RYF have alleged that Congress had betrayed the RSP by cross-voting during the civic body polls.

There have also been demands for leaving the UDF. RSP also is sore over being completely ignored in the Devaswom board appointments. Meanwhile, party State Secretary has dismissed reports on RSP going out of the UDF.
