CBI Monday conducted simultaneous searches on the premises
of the Maran and his elder brother and Sun Network managing director, Kalanithi
Maran in connection with a case arising out of the Aircel- Maxis Deal..

C Sivasankarn : Business
man and former Aircel owner alleged in a statement to CBI in june 2011 that he
was forced to sell the telecom company to the Maxis group.
Dayanidhi maran: Former
communication and information technology minister allegedly delayed grant of license
to Aircel as long as it was owned by Sivasankaran.
T Anada Krishnan : Malaysian
tycoon bought Aircel and obtained 14 letters of intent from the department of
Telecommunications, which where later converted into telecom licenses. His
maxis group company owns 74% equity in Aircel.
Kalanithy Manran: The
Sun Network of Dayanidhi’s elder brother allegedly received investments close
to Rs.800 cr. from a sister concern of Maxis Group.
Suneeta Reddy: Executive
director of Appollo Hospitals and former chairperson of aircel has ‘strategic’
investments in aircel through Sindya Securities and investments Pvt. Ltd.
