Sunday, September 25, 2011: In the view of the recent outbreak of
contagious diseases like dengue, viral fever, rat fever and cholera in
the State, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has called for a high level
meeting on Sunday.
The meeting will be held at Chief Minister’s chamber at 7 pm today,
Health Minister Adoor Prakash and higher officials of the Health
department would attend the meeting. CM has also sought a detailed
report on the fever outbreak in North Kerala.
The health department has also stepped up the preventive measures to
curb the outbreak of infectious diseases. Preventive medicines are being
distributed in the coastal areas under the monitoring of special
medical teams.
