THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two paintings drawn by late Congress veteran and former chief minister K Karunakaran during his college days were auctioned by the Kerala Lalit Kala Academy for a hefty price of Rs 5,10,000.The two surviving works of the veteran leader ‘life studies’ painted by him in early 1940s as an art student in Thrissur, were bought by a Thiruvalla native at a public auction held at Taj hotel here on Friday.
