Wednesday, October 26, 2011: The term Diwali literally means a row of
lamps and this festival signifies the victory of good over evil.
Diwali, a popular festival of fireworks, lights and sweets falls on
October 26 this year.
Some of the new varieties of fireworks which are being sold through
shops included musical electric sparklers, snake garden and the
500-meter sky shot. Some of the shops have arranged special counters for
women. Dealers said most people preferred visual effects to sound when
selecting fireworks.
