October 11, 2011: The police have registered a case against three
persons under charges of murder in connection with the incident in which
a 37-year-old man was beaten to death in Perumbavoor here yesterday.
Congress MP K Sudhakaran’s gunman identified as Satheesh has been
named the first accused in the case. The deceased, Reghu, was brutally
beaten to death by three persons alleging that he had stolen a bag
containing Rs 19,000 while travelling in the Thrissur- Chadamangalam
KSRTC bus.
Following the brutal assault Reghu collapsed and died on the spot. Reghu’s family informed that the money was not stolen.
