Mother, daughter killed in accident
PALAKKAD: A 23-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter were killed on the spot on Saturday when the two-wheeler they were riding on was hit by a speeding lorry at Walayar near here. The dead have been identified as Soumya Balamurugan and her daughter Divya Sree, residents of Poolambara near Walayar. Soumya’s husband Balamurugan, who was driving the two-wheeler, was admitted to the district hospital here with multiple injuries. His condition is critical.
Mother, daughter killed in accident
NEDUMANGAD: A woman and her daughter were killed after the auto carrying a patient collided with a police jeep. The dead has been identified as Ponnamma (65) of Kannaramkode and her daughter Vasanthy (42). Ponnamma’s son Surendran and other relatives seriously injured have been admitted in the medical college hospital.
The incident happened Tuesday night at 12.30 pm. Ponnamma, who was taken to the taluk hospital following chest pain was referred to the medical college hospital. The auto in which Ponnamma and her relatives were travelling collided with the police jeep which was over speeded.
In the impact of the collision, both vehicles turned upside down. The jeep was proceeding to Nedumangad with an accused. The local residents said the driver of the jeep was drunk. A tense situation prevailed when those in the jeep refused to save the passengers of the auto. A hartal is observed in the area in protest against the attack.

MALAPPURAM: A woman and her two daughters were found hanging at their house in Kacherikkunnu near Vallikkunnu in the district. The dead have been identified as Sudhadevi (46), wife of Umesh Babu, and daughters Bhavya (24) and Navya (22).

KOLLAM: A woman and her daughter were found dead after consuming poison at their house in Chathanur. The dead have been identified as Jalaja (37), wife of Omanakuttan Pillai of Cheelanthimukku near Chathanur and her daughter Ashwathy (19).
Mother, daughter knocked down by train
KAZHAKOOTTAM: A woman and her minor daughter were killed when they were fatally knocked down by a train. The bodies of the two were found on the railway track of Kazhakkoottam Arattukuzhi railway gate. The Kollam-Mathura passenger train is suspected to have knocked down the two.
The woman has been identified as Melbi (26), lab technician of PRS Hospital and wife of Jose of J M Cottage in Vilappilsala and her daughter as Alfi (2). She was married to Jose, a tiles employee, four years back. Police said the woman left her house in the pretext of attending her friend’s marriage after a fight with her husband. As she didn’t reach home till 10 pm last night, Jose lodged a complaint at the Vilappilsala police station.
When the police were about to record statement, news came two bodies were found lying on the track.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman and her daughter were killed in an accident on the national highway in Pallippuram.
The dead have been identified as Sheena (35), wife of Ramakrishnan of Sree Chitra Nagar in Vallakkadavu, and her daughter Shilpa (13).
The accident happened when a KSRTC bus struck their scooter.
Mother, son commit suicide
PALAKKAD: A woman, who jumped into the well along with her eight-year-old-son, depressed over theft allegation, died here Monday. The dead have been identified as Bindu (28), wife of Ganesh of Puthoor, and Akhil. Even though her ten-year-old daughter Gopika was with her, she escaped unhurt.
Mother, child found dead
IRITTY:, Mooppantakathu Fousiya (30), wife of K T Muhammad, and her two year old son Muhammad Nasees, who were supposedly missing since early morning, were found dead in the well within the premises of the house.
Bodies of the two have been shifted to Pariyaram Medical College.
Irikkur police has charged case and investigation has begun.
Mother, daughter found dead in well in Thrissur
Thursday, March 29, 2012: A 33-year-old woman and her one and a half year-old daughter were found dead in a well under mysterious circumstances near Puranattukara here on Thursday.
The dead have been identified as Stella and Monica, police told. The local residents found the dead bodies today morning and informed the police. The local police have begun investigation into the incident.
Mother, daughter die of burns
MALAPPURAM: A woman and her daughter were found dead in their house at Kuttippala-Vattakkulam in Malappuram Friday morning. Police said the bodies of Jayashree (28) and her daughter Nandana (2) were found with severe burn injuries in their bathroom early today. A case was registered and further investigation was on, police added.
Mother, daughter killed in road mishap in Thrissur
Friday, September 9, 2011: Two persons were killed in a road mishap that occurred near Kunnamkulam in Thrissur on Friday. The dead have been identified as Fathima and her daughter Shakeela, natives of Changaramkulam, police told. The accident occurred after a lorry collided with an autorickshaw in which they were travelling.
