Newborn baby found abandoned in Palakkad

Friday, May 04, 2012: A newborn baby boy was found abandoned near Mission school premise in Palakkad town here on Friday morning.
The newborn baby weighing 3 kilograms was discovered by some street vendors who were alerted to the child’s crying.
The child was immediately taken to the district hospital for treatment and was described as being in a ’stable condition’. Police are desperately keen to trace the child’s mother.
