Sunday, July 24, 2011: The third round of talks held between Health Minister-Adoor Prakash, Chief Minister-Oommen Chandy and Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association (KGMOA) in connection with their pay revision issues, remained inconclusive.The KGMOA have threatened to go on indefinite strike from July 30 raising various demands mainly to merge special allowance with basic salary, to increase the allowances of specialist doctors.
Speaking to reporters later, Prakash said government had agreed to most of the doctors’ demands and further discussions would be held in Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow.
