Saturday, August 27, 2011: Defence Minister A.K Antony today inaugurated the rice at Rs.1 per kg scheme for BPL families at a function held at the Santhigiri Asramom here on Saturday. ‘Poverty–free Kerala’ project will cover 20.57 lakh families initially. Inaugurating the scheme Antony called upon the people to take anti-corruption pledge as bribery was growing in the country.
