Friday, September 30, 2011: Suspended IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt, who
had testified against chief minister Narendra Modi in the 2002 Gujarat
riots case, was on Friday arrested by the state police.
Ahmedabad police commisioner Sudhir Sinha confirmed this to media.
Bhatt was detained for forcing a constable to file false affidavit
supporting Bhatt’s claim that he was present in the meeting of chief
ministers where Modi asked police to go slow during 2002 riots.
