Suryanelli case: Decision after legal advice of AG, says HM

KOTTAYAM: A decision on further re-investigation in the Suryanelli case will be taken after getting the legal advice of the advocate general, said Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. The advice of director general of prosecution will also be sought on it, he said.

Attempts are on to defame the Rajya Sabha deputy chairman P J Kurien. The home department will not intervene in the problems between the two former investigating officers Sibi Mathews and K K Joshua, said the minister.

Kurien had lodged a complaint against Joshua. Steps were not taken against him as Joshua was in the vigilance when the complaint was obtained, said Thiruvanchoor.

Killers will be brought to book, says HM

Monday, May 07, 2012: Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today opined that those involved in the brutal murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party leader, T P Chandrasekharan, would be brought to book.
Addressing the presspersons here on Monday, Minister added that utmost priority would be given for nabbing the murder accused. The investigation would be comprehensive and impartial and there will not be any political intervention, he added.
