KOCHI: Vigilance director DGP Jacob Thomas said a strong probe would be conducted on the revelation of S P Sukesan in the bar case if the court directs. The vigilance is not a caged parrot now, he said while talking to reporters here.
Our duty is to conduct a probe against the corrupt and it will be done properly, he said.
Sukesan had alleged that Shankar Reddy, then vigilance director had sabotaged the bar bribery case.

Irregularities noticed in Pattoor land deal, says Jacob Thomas
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Irregularities have been noticed in the Pattoor land deal, said police housing construction chief DGP Jacob Thomas. In an interview to a private channel, he said government land has been encroached and lapses have ocurred from the side of the government.
When asked whether chief minister’s name is in the Pattoor case, he said as it is under the consideration of the Lok Ayuktha, he is not entitled to talk more in the case. I too was in charge of the bar case against former minister K M Mani. The people of the state knows whether there is corruption in the bar case, he said.
The act of the chief minister picturing me as anti-people pained me. So, I decided to move against him, but I don’t have any personal grudge towards him, he said.
