If Mani goes out, Kerala Congress will survive, says PC George

PATHANAMTHITTA: PC George MLA has said if the Kerala Congress (M) has to survive the current bad times, it should expel its chairman K M Mani from the post he is holding.

“Mani will not resign on his own and hence the only way is to expel him from the post,” said George after inaugurating Ayyankali birthday celebrations organised by DHRM.

Saritha’s letter reason for Mani’s enmity, says PC George

KOTTAYAM: The letter of solar scam accused Saritha S Nair revealed the other day has mentioned the name of Jose K Mani, son of Finance Minister K M Mani, said Chief Whip P C George.

Talking to the media, he said that he knew about Saritha’s letter and had asked Mani to take care of his son and instead of warning him, he behaved rudely to me.

George said, “Saritha had expressed her desire to meet me. I didn’t show any interest but when compelled agreed to meet her. She came to me wearing a burqa with an industrialist. The letter was given that day and was shocked after reading it. I returned the letter after reading it. The handwriting was that of Saritha. I haven’t exposed it. Those wanting me to leave the UDF is behind the exposure of the letter. The CBI should probe about the letter and not the police. The reason for Mani and his son’s enmity towards me is Saritha’s letter.

George said the case was settled after offering money. Everybody knows I am not behind the exposure of the letter. I have seen the letter earlier. All copies of it is with a leader of a group of the congress. My political life is not Mani’s generosity. If I wasn’t there, Mani wouldn’t have won in Palai the last time. Mani’s ministerial berth is the result of my effort. George challenged Mani’s win in Palai the next time. The CBI should probe the things alleged about Jose K Mani in the letter. I don’t have faith in the DGP, he said.

The issues in the KC (M) can be solved within a minute after a statement released that P C George and the members with him have been ousted. If I’m not ousted, I’ll oust Mani. The KC (M) state committee with 2000 members will be convened at the Thirunakkara Grounds for it. Many from them will be with me, he said.

CPM silent over TP murder, says PC George

Sunday, Jun 24 2012: Government Chief Whip PC George today alleged that the CPI(M) which used to react even to small issues was keeping silent over the brutal murder of T P Chandrasekaharan, which was really ’shameful’.
Why the CPI(M) keeps mum over the issue in the Assembly?” “Why the CPI(M) did not bring an adjournment motion in the floor over the issue?” he asked.
Such brutal murders would not be tolerated by the people of Kerala, he added.
