Court asks to complete probe in Titanium case


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vigilance court in the capital city directed to complete investigation in the Titanium corruption case within a month. If the probe is not completed within the stipulated time, action will be taken against the officials.

The report in connection with the progress in investigation was produced in the court today. The vigilance informed the court that the statements of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala have to be taken.

The case is that corruption was detected in granting permission to buy equipment worth 256 crores before the Oommen Chandy Government relinquished office in 2006.
