Speaker censures women MLAs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Speaker G Karthikeyan censured four women MLAs for scaling the speaker’s dais in protest against the police action on two women MLAs. K K Lathika, Jameela Prakasham, K S Saleeka and Ayesha Potti standing beside the speaker shouted slogans seeking justice.

The MLAs have violated the rules to be followed, the speaker said. Scaling the speaker’s chair was unfortunate and termed it as disrespect to the assembly. Strict action would be taken if the action is repeated, he said.
