UDF Government will fall soon: Pinarayi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said that the LDF would tie up only with Left and Democratic forces and it would not close its doors before like-minded parties in the UDF coalition.  Replying to a query on whether the LDF would try to bring down the UDF Government, during a news conference convened to explain the itinerary of the CPM campaign jatha being taken out from Kanyakumari to New Delhi, Pinarayi said that the UDF Government would fall soon owing to its own inherent weakness.  He said that the LDF was not interested in forming a government by encouraging defection. “The LDF is not in favour of resorting to parliamentary manoeuvrings to bring down a discredited government,’’ he said. When the inherent weakness of the government reaches a point it will crumble down, Pinarayi said. Asked whether it was actually decided to remove VS from the Opposition Leader’s post, Pinarayi said that for the time being the media had to be content with what VS had said about it. ‘’I am not used to discussing such organisational matters with the media’’ he said.
