Four killed in Malappuram road mishap

Malappuram: In a gruesome road mishap, four persons were killed when a car and an autorickshaw collided against each other at Kottapuram near Kondotty on Friday evening. Three are said to be grievously injured. The deceased are Saiuthalavi (65), his sons Aboobacker (35) and Basheer (28), and son-in-law Nauhal (25), hailing from Edimoozhikal near Chelembra.

The Nano car which was coming from Karripur airport met with the accident. Basheer's relatives had come to the airport to pick him up and the accident occured when they were on their way back home.

It is learnt that the auto was overloaded with 9 people. The injured have been admitted to Kozhikode Medical College hospital.
