Sunday, July 24, 2011: State Minister for welfare of scheduled castes and backward classes, A.P. Anil Kumar opined that the government will take urgent steps to renovate pre-matric hostels.Speaking to the reporters here after conducting a surprise visit to the pre-matric hostel at Wandoor, Minister said the government would take stern action on genuine grievances of the students.
Minister added that as part of the state government’s 100-day programme library facility and television sets will be made available in the 90 pre-matric hostels coming under the scheduled caste development department.
