Gokulam nurses’ strike: Labour Commissioner intervenes

Friday, March 9, 2012: The labour commissioner has called a meeting of hospital managements and striking nurses of Venjaramoodu Gokulam Medical College Hospital to try and arrive at a compromise.
The nurses had launched an indefinite strike demanding better wages.
Though the staff nurses and the hospital management had reached an agreement regarding the wages the nurses decided to enter into a strike again because of the delay in implementation and to press their demand to take back colleagues who have been dismissed
