Kerala to set up 10,000 ‘Solar Homes’: Minister

Friday, March 9, 2012: State Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed said that Kerala proposes to generate 10 MW of electricity from 10,000 roof mounted grid connected solar photovoltanic power system.
Project would be implemented during the financial year 2012-13 with assistance from the Central and State governments. The government would announce the subsidy and other details in the coming state budget,he said
An international conference ‘Solar Homes’ will be organised here to provide a forum to professionals, policy makers, industry, non-governmenal organisation and others to share knowledge and experience on various aspects of solar electric technology, Minister added
