Piravom poll: Anoop Jacob’s disqualification sought

Wednesday, March 14, 2012: A complaint has been filed before the Election Commission of India seeking disqualification of Anoop Jacob, UDF candidate for the by-election to Piravom Assembly constituency.
An advocate, who is a native of Neyyattinkara, in his complaint filed on Wednesday, alleged that Anoop Jacob had not furnished in the affidavit the complete details about a case, in which he was involved in 2007.
The complainer alleged that Anoop had violated the election rules and hence he should be disqualified for submitting a fake affidavit before the Election Commission of India (EC).
