Rail fares hiked
NEW DELHI: A slight increase has been witnessed in the railway fares presented in the Parliament by Union Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi.
A 2-30 paise increase per km, 2 paise per/km on 2nd class fares, platform tickets to cost Rs 5.
The fares are being increased after a gap of nine years. An increase of Rs 12 on more than 300km travel.
A 30paise increased per km for 1st AC class and a 10 paise per km for AC class.
