Cabinet berth not needed even if offered, says Pillai

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:  Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai has said they don’t want a ministerial berth again in the UDF Government. Talking to reporters after the party meeting on Friday, Pillai said they would be with the Front even if Oommen Chandy leaves the UDF.

Chandy said a ministerial berth for Ganesh Kumar will be considered after the Lok Sabha polls. The party cannot bear the insult any more. This is not like KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala’s statement that he is not interested in a cabinet berth.

The party is being insulted by the UDF. The other allied parties are mum on this immorality. Decisions taken in the cabinet meetings will not get the approval of the Kerala Congress, he said.

Chandy was not hesitant to hand over the department handled by T M Jacob to his son Anoop Jacob. But the department of the Kerala Congress (B) was given to another minister without our permission which is not heard in the state politics.

Does Chandy have the courage to touch the portfolios of P K Kunhalikutty and K M Mani?

Irregularities are noticed in the civil supplies. Rice of 1 rupee is branded and then sold. A comprehensive probe should be conducted on the permission given for the Aranmula airport.
