It’ll not be springtime for government: Pillai

PERUNNA: Kerala Congress (B) chairman R Balakrishna Pillai has said that “what UDF should expect now is not the springtime but something worse.” He was making his comments on the occasion of the swearing-in ceremony of Ramesh Chennithala as minister. He told the media that nobody had informed him about Chennithala’s swearing-in ceremony.

“Taking away the portfolios allotted to Kerala Congress (B) without our permission is unethical. Though the Congress has interfered in our internal matters our decency has not allowed us to interfere in theirs,” said Pillai.

He asked whether Oommen Chandy would show the courage to take away the portfolios given to ministers K M Mani or P K Kunhalikutty. Pillai added that he was ready to resign as Forward Caste Commission Chairman if the NSS general secretary asked for it.
